Remembrance and Vigilance
It was early, I was up to see the NBC interview with former GE CEO, Jack Welch, he was always a good barometer about how the business world was going. Out in the sun room I watched the interview but as they finished the camera didn’t go back to Matt & Katie, it was on the Twin Towers, one of them on fire, smoke bellowing out of it. It took Matt & Katie quite a while to figure out they weren’t on camera, but when they did, it was nonsense from them, which was normal. Little real info was coming in about the towers, just that they “thought” a plane had “accidentally” struck one of them, then we realized it was no accident as we watched the second plane intentionally fly into the second tower. Never in my life had I felt so vulnerable, so helpless, so scared, this was no accident, we were under attack.
